Ka Hana Pono is a licensed childcare center located in Haleiwa at the Waialua Community Center. We are rooted in the belief that the primary needs of all children are love, respect and a great deal of attention.
New families wishing to enroll their child for August of 2014 may complete an application online or stop by to pick an application up. Interviews are normally scheduled for Saturdays.
There is no fee to apply; you can submit your application online here: http://fs4.formsite.com/KaHanaPono/form3/index.html
Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday from 7:30AM to 5:00PM
Our program is open to children between the ages of 2 - 5 years old at the time enrollment.
The environment and program at Ka Hana Pono in Haleiwa is currently designed for a maximum of twelve children. Small Group in a Family Setting:
- A small group of playmates allows children to fully express themselves and at the same time learn appropriate social skills.
- A small group of children in a learning environment allows for more expanded experiences like having a garden that the children themselves tend and plant, baking bread, sewing useful items, making their own play dough, creative water play in the sprinkler, a large sand pit to dig in, and festivities that bring us all together.
- A class composed of a small group allows the families at the school to form friendships and support each other.
